Ancre Hill Estate 2018 Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Wine is a delightful sparkling wine from Monmouth, Wales. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this wine undergoes a meticulous fermentation process very similar that used in the production of French Champagne. This wine is comparable to a vintage champagne in terms of style, and represents an outstanding example of a welsh sparkling wine. This wine was eagerly awaited by the team at Moura, having only being recently bottle for sale in February 2024, after a long period of lees aging in bottle. The Blanc de Blancs offers a powerful yet vivacious palate with fine and pleasant bubbles. It has a bright and fresh flavor profile with notes of citrus, green apple, and a hint of brioche and biscuit from the lees aging.
