Our wine buyer, Caitlin, grew up in post-apartheid South Africa, where the phrase "local is lekker" was often bandied about. "Lekker" meaning "good or pleasant" or "cool", the phrase was used to encourage the support of locally made products as they are better! This is a mantra that Caitlin applies to her own business, and so she was very pleased to discover a winery producing fantastic quality rosé, a mere 20 minutes drive from Moura's doorstep.
St Hilary Vineyard Rosé is a delightful rosé crafted from their first crop of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes grown in their picturesque vineyard in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. This wine is a testiment to the dedication and passon of Peter and Liz Loch, who use low-intervention winemaking methods and organic practices in their vineyard, to produce a beautiful rosé with a concience.
This wine is the strawberries and cream of rosé world. Bursting with summer fruits, strawberry, and honeysuckle, with a creamy texture.
